I originally qualified and practised as a teacher, and have always loved to communicate and support people in their goals. I became increasingly interested in personal development, wellbeing and the empowerment of individuals. To this end I undertook professional counselling training in 2003. Since qualifying I have gained a wealth of full time experience in the voluntary sector supporting one to one counselling clients and groups and am now in private practice.
My interest in holistic therapies grew from an increasing understanding of the importance of bodywork for the person as a whole in body and mind. As well as promoting physical health and relaxation; holistic therapy can also nurture the spirit and heal the emotions through touch.
I approach my work professionally, tailoring to client needs and adhering to ethical guidelines. I undergo continual professional development.
